Our students in Year 7-11 come from over 50 different primary schools and so we work collaboratively to ensure that students settle well when they join EDA. By committing to work with primary schools, we do all we can to support a smooth transition.
Beyond this, we also work pro-actively with local primaries in ensuring that students in younger years have opportunity to interact with our Year 7 students by visit to our main feeder schools in the Primitas Learning Partnership. These students have multiple opportunities prior to formal transition arrangements in Year 6 to engage in Academy activities and interact with student leaders. This has allowed us to work with prospective students and has produced further opportunities for reciprocal visits from specialist teaching staff. We continue to deepen links with some of our local primary schools in ensuring a smooth transition for students who live in the local area.
