CONTINUED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT 2019 – 2020
EDA Staff become deeply involved in their own professional development. They work collaboratively to supportively challenge each other to become the best they can. All staff share their successes and reflect on their limitations, working strategically to overcome these.
Associate Staff Continued Professional Development (CPD)
From September 2019, the model for Associate staff CPD will replicate the layered approach implemented for Teachers. The layers include:
Layer 1 – The Academy CPD which includes Safeguarding training, Culture and Ethos Sessions etc.
Layer 2 – Role specific training such as First Aid, SEN training etc.
Layer 3 – Personalised/ career point CPD such as Middle Leader training
There will be a direct link between CPD and Appraisal with the Policy updated to reflect this. All Associate Staff are responsible for co-ordinating their own CPD.
