Our students are both philanthropic and altruistic in their attitudes towards helping others. There are countless opportunities throughout the academic year to fundraise for charities near and far.
Our senior student leaders lead on a grocery appeal where the donations are shared with vulnerable members of our local community through the Foodbank scheme. We work pro-actively with the local charity ‘Burntwood Be-A-Friend’ in working with the local community. The Christmas and Summer Fayre, that take place at the end of Autumn and Summer term respectively, provide tutor groups to demonstrate enterprise with their stalls and the Academy Council make a decision as to where the proceeds go. Previous beneficiaries include the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, British Heart Foundation, the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Dog’s Trust, with Cancer Research being the beneficiary in 2024.
