Teacher of SCIENCE FOR SEPTEMBER 2020
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, effective and enthusiastic specialist in Science from September 2020, at this highly successful, heavily over-subscribed school which is firmly established as one of the highest performing secondary schools in the region (and in the top 10% of schools nationally). We gained ‘Good’ in our 2018 Ofsted inspection and as part of the Local Authority’s quality assurance strategy, we have gained Category 1 status, which is the highest category of school performance, for four years running.
Science has an excellent reputation within the Academy as one of the highest performing subject areas. Both attainment and progress in Science is very strong at GCSE and at A-Level, with many students choosing to study Science subjects in the Sixth Form. The successful candidate needs to have the necessary knowledge and skills to teach Science from Year 7 to GCSE. A Level teaching is available for suitably qualified and experienced teachers.
We invite applications from excellent classroom practitioners who can motivate, engage and inspire our students and work collaboratively with colleagues. We offer a positive, friendly school culture, opportunities for further professional development and strong support from the Subject Leaders and the Senior Leadership Team.
Salary: Pay range between £24,371 – £40,489 per annum according to the Academy Pay Policy.
