At the start of this new Academic Year, with all of its new and emerging challenges, we have developed new remote learning arrangements for any student who has a short-term absence from school linked to Covid 19. Work will be available for any student from the day after we are notified of the absence, for the duration of the time they are unable to attend the Academy. These arrangements are not based on a generic ‘pack of work’ for different subjects. Rather, they aim to provide curriculum continuity, with the available work being directly linked to the content that the rest of the class are covering in each lesson every day. The following document explains how to access this remote learning provision.
Your child will need to follow their timetable to access the remote learning. The step by step guide below provides details on how they need to access the work for the day:
Step 1
Access the Academy website and select the ‘EDA LOGIN’ on the top left hand corner

Step 2
Log on to RM Unify using your Academy username and password.

Step 3
Select the Student Resources tab.

Step 4
Select relevant year group.

Step 5
Year 7-9
For Y7-9, classes are organised according to E-D-A-R-W-I-N. Select the appropriate class
(Music/ Technology & Art will have one folder for all classes)

Year 10-11
Subjects are listed for you to select according to your timetable.

Step 6
Select the appropriate day and the work will be available.

Step 7
Complete the work/ tasks outlined in the PowerPoint presentation. If you have your exercise book, this can be used. Alternatively, complete either on the computer or on paper.
If you are struggling to access the tasks, you should refer to the ‘Learning Questions’ in the template and research these.

If you require any additional support, you should email your Teacher for guidance.
Please refer to the previous correspondence sent for details on how to access the email system
Please return all completed work when your return to the Academy.
If you have any technical IT Issues accessing these systems please refer to this link for further guidance.
Whilst we appreciate that this will not replicate the classroom environment, it provides some guidance on the content that is being covered in line with the curriculum plans.
As suggested above, if your child is unable to access any tasks or activities, they should complete their own independent research based on the topic/learning intention. They should attempt to answer the learning questions outlined in the template provided.
If you have any questions, please contact me on the above number.
Yours faithfully
