COVID-19 Catch-up premium
As a result of the COVID-19 school closure in the 2019/20 academic year, the government announced that schools would receive additional funding to support students in their return to education and get back on track as quickly as possible. The government announced that funding would be allocated on the basis of schools receiving £80 per student who is on roll up to and including Y11. Erasmus Darwin Academy will therefore receive £74,880 as our catch-up premium allocation.
Guidance from the government and Department for Education stated that schools should use this funding for specific activities to support their pupils to catch up for lost teaching over the previous months, in line with the guidance on curriculum expectations for the next academic year. Schools have the flexibility to spend their funding in the best way for their cohort and circumstances and the plans for how we intend on spending the catch-up premium can be found in the document below.
