For the all-important Progress 8 measure, Erasmus Darwin Academy is the highest performing secondary school in Staffordshire and is positioned in the top 4% of secondary schools nationally.
The Department for Education explains that Progress 8 is a measure of the progress that every individual student makes on their 5-year learning journey from the moment they enter secondary school in Year 7 until the point that they leave in Year 11. Therefore, to be classed as the most successful secondary school in Staffordshire and to be in such a strong position nationally, according to this measure, is an incredible achievement and one which the Academy is extremely proud of.
The Academy is also extremely proud of the fact that all groups of learners made exceptional progress, which was significantly higher than national standards for like groups, showing that the EDA really is committed to Excellence for All.
