Erasmus Darwin Academy welcomes admissions enquiries from local parents on behalf of their children. The main principle of admission to Erasmus Darwin Academy is to maintain the character of the Academy as an inclusive school, providing for the needs of young persons within the 11-18 age range who live in Burntwood and the surrounding areas.
**NOTE: We regret that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be conducting any visits to the Academy for prospective parents and students. We will be publishing information regarding the Academy on our originally scheduled Open Evening date of October 1st. If you have any specific questions, please contact email@example.com**
Although the Academy’s governing body is the admissions authority, the Academy participates in the Local Authority Co-ordinated Scheme for Admissions to Primary and Secondary Schools. This means that Staffordshire County Council’s School Admissions and Transport Service (SA&TS) co-ordinates all admissions at our Academy in resoect of applications for school places at the normal age of entry (ie at the start of Year 7). Therefore, all protocols and deadlines contained within the Co-ordination Scheme will be adhered to.
